What fits

Out of the box

  • A link you pass as reply_link is posted as the first reply, never in the body, so the post keeps its reach.
  • Polls and link preview cards work on text posts.

Option names for developers
A link
Give a link and it goes in the first reply, so the post keeps its reach.
Who can reply
Everyone, people you follow, people you mention or your followers.
Threads and quotes
Reply to one of your posts to build a thread, or quote a post.
Polls and link cards
On text posts, add a poll with up to 4 options or a preview card for a link.
Topic
Add one topic tag so more people find the post.
Spoilers
Blur the photos and videos until someone taps them.
Approve replies first
Hold replies until you approve them.
Alt text
Describe each photo or video for people who use screen readers.

Numbers you’ll see

After a post goes live, its numbers show up in Results, with the reason when a network keeps one to itself.

Views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes and shares on each post, plus followers. Threads is still reviewing Welder, so until it approves, it may ask for a permission instead.
