Welder for Perplexity
Add Welder as a custom connector in Perplexity, then sign in to Welder. There’s no key to copy.
Steps
- 1
Open Plugins in the sidebar, then choose Add custom → Add MCP connector.
- 2
Choose Remote, name it Welder and paste the Welder link as the MCP server URL.

Under Advanced, set Authentication to OAuth and Transport to Streamable HTTP. Tick the acknowledgement box and select Add.
- 4
Select the Welder card, sign in to Welder and allow access.
- 5
Test it. Ask Perplexity something.
Naming Welder in your request tells Perplexity which tools you want.

The usual fixes. If none helps, write to hello@weldergtm.com.
I don’t see Plugins or Add custom
If Plugins isn’t in your sidebar yet, use Customize → Connectors. Some connectors and custom MCP servers need Pro, Max or Enterprise. In an organization, an admin first turns on Allow members to add custom connectors.
Perplexity asks me to approve each post
Perplexity asks before it runs an action that changes something, like a post. Approve the card. If you dismiss it by accident, ask again.
The sign-in window closes or gets stuck
Sign-in uses a pop-up. Try a private window with extensions turned off. If that works, allow pop-ups and cookies for perplexity.ai in your usual browser.
Welder says posting more isn’t included
Your first 3 posts are free. After that, posting needs a plan: start your 3-day free trial in the Welder app at weldergtm.com, then ask again. Connecting accounts, uploading and checking a post work either way.
Perplexity is a trademark of its owner. Welder is not affiliated with it.
